She won the prestigious David Unaipon Award with her collection of poetry 'How to Make a Basket'. In the book, Jazz celebrates queer and First Nations love while protesting against the tensions of living in Australia. Her poetry and artwork have been broadly published and can be seen in murals, installations, and films. Based in Gadigal Land Sydney, Jazz regularly travels to Castlemaine, in Dja Dja Wurrung country, to visit family and find inspiration.
