Manabu Ikeda grew up surrounded by the verdant countryside of Japan’s Saga prefecture. He moved to Tokyo to study art at the age of 18, and it was there that he cultivated his unique style of intricately detailed pen illustrations. Manabu’s creative journey then took him to North America where, for almost a decade now, his adopted home of Madison, Wisconsin has served as a creative catalyst for his labyrinthine and other-wordly artworks.
