Klein Goederust Boutique Winery

"I have a lot of favourite wine spots but one that is very close to my heart is Klein Goederust. It is the first Black-owned wine farm in Franschhoek, and that's something worth celebrating because integration is a wonderful thing. The history of the farm goes back a really long time, but the current owners farm as an ode to their mum. The wine is exceptional. It's a beautiful farm that everyone should visit."

Klein Goederust winery came about in 1905. In 2019 the Siguqa family acquired the property and so began their own winemaking journey, inspired by the family matriarch Nomaroma Siguqa, a lifelong Cape wine farm labourer.
