Alma HAR'EL

A native of Tel Aviv, Israel, award-winning director Alma Har'el now lives and works in Los Angeles, where she is surrounded by ‘some of the most creative and hard-working people in the world’. The constant exposure to such vibrant self-expression has encouraged her not only in her own work – attracting widespread acclaim for her feature film Honey Boy at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival – but also in her desire to drive gender equality among directors through her Free the Bid initiative. She spoke to us about her view of life in Los Angeles and the importance of creative diversity.
