About Martha SCHWARTZ
Breaking onto the design scene in 1979 with her controversial Bagel Garden concept, landscape architect Martha Schwartz has brought an imaginative slant to parks and streetscapes alike in the decades since. Based in New York, she has travelled the world in her efforts to introduce her particular brand of creativity to cities from Malmö to Miami. With international offices of her design studio spanning the US, UK and Asia, she relocated to London for 14 years. We talk to her about her time in the British capital, daring to design differently, and deploying creativity to help mitigate climate change.
