Cape Town with Dena Amy
After years away from South Africa, Johannesburg-born DJ, producer, actress, dancer and podcast host Dena Amy returned to Cape Town in her late twenties to film a dance movie – a pinch-me moment that allowed her to reconnect with local dancers and choreographers while rediscovering cultural roots. From the breathtaking beaches of Clifton where she would go as a child to the moving township tours, and the historic significance of Robben Island, the experience brought back the joy only Cape Town can spark – a city she calls a true gem of South Africa.
