Xanadu Roller Arts

Roller skating rink
262 Starr St, Brooklyn, NY 11237
Xanadu Roller Arts

"There's a new roller skating rink in Brooklyn that has serious vibes. I played there and the dance floor is like no other. It's so creative, so free, and so childlike — with a great selection of DJs, skaters, and dancers to boot."

Blue Note Jazz Club

"Check out a gig at the Blue Note, New York's most famed jazz venue, which hosts a whole bunch of artists from Thundercat and Butcher Brown to Pharoah Sanders. It’s the whole slew of old to new music, so definitely go."

Le Bain

Night Club
The Standard, High Line, 848 Washington St, New York, NY 10014
Le Bain

"I played a couple of times at this club called Le Bain, which is the Standard Hotel in the Meatpacking District. And they’ve got an amazing view — the DJ decks overlook the whole city — so that would definitely be my spot for the best view."

Tokyo Record Bar

"My friend John Silas is the host at Tokyo Record Bar. He spins records and they introduce you to the different food as it comes out. They've got sake cocktails, and it's really a whole bunch of deliciousness."

"One of my favorite joints is the Brooklyn Ball Factory on Montrose Street. It's a Japanese coffee shop with really yummy coffee and a light breakfast. They also make Onigiri."

THAT House Party THO

Collective
Greenpoint, Brooklyn, NY, USA
THAT House Party THO

"There's a collective in Greenpoint called THAT House Party THO. They converted their apartment into an event space with an open mic — people come up, recite their poetry, their stand-up, and sing songs — it's a mad vibe."

Human Head Records

Record store
289 Meserole St, Brooklyn, NY 11206
Human Head Records

"One spot that I always go to to check out new music is definitely Human Head Records. They just changed the location. But, you know, the buyers there have a strong connection to Brazil, so they're always getting, like, a bunch of really rare, random finds that you know you're not really going to get anywhere else."
